Privacy policy. What we collect and why.
The short version: this website uses no cookies, analytics or trackers. If you email us, we use what you send only to reply and to work with you. We don’t sell it, and we don’t use it to train AI models.
Who we are
Axion (“Axion”, “we”, “us”) runs axionmesh.co. We’re an early-stage company building software that connects an organisation’s data, systems and expertise.
For anything about this policy or your information, email [email protected].
What this policy covers
This policy covers the axionmesh.co website and the emails you send us. If we work with your organisation on a pilot, how we handle its data will be set out in a separate written agreement.
What we collect
When you visit the site. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes the technical information needed to deliver the site and protect it from attacks, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We don’t use it to identify you or to build a profile of you.
When you contact us. If you email us, directly or through “Book a working session”, we receive your name, your email address and whatever you include, such as your organisation, your role and the problem you describe. The “Book a working session” form only prepares an email in your own email app. Nothing reaches us until you send it.
What we don’t collect. We set no cookies and use no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Our fonts and images are served from our own domain, so a visit doesn’t share your information with other services. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie if it needs to check that a visitor isn’t an automated bot.
How we use it
- To reply to you, and to arrange and run working sessions.
- To keep a record of our conversations, so we have the context when we speak again.
- To keep the website secure and working.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We don’t sell your information, use it for advertising, or use what you send us to train AI models.
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business, on steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract, and on our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
Only the providers that help us run Axion, and only what they need:
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website.
- Google, which provides our email.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it. If Axion is merged or acquired, your information may pass to the new owner, who must keep protecting it in line with this policy.
Cloudflare and Google operate in many countries, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live. Both apply their own safeguards to international transfers.
How long we keep it
We keep your emails for as long as we need them for your enquiry and any work that follows. If we don’t go on to work together, we delete them within 24 months of our last contact. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.
Cloudflare keeps its technical logs according to its own retention policies.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you, and give you a copy
- correct it
- delete it
- stop using it, or limit how we use it
Email [email protected] and we’ll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first. Depending on where you live, you can also complain to your data protection regulator.
Security
We use established providers, limit access to your information to the people who need it, and protect our accounts with two-step verification. No way of sending or storing information is completely secure. If a breach affects your information, we’ll tell you as the law requires.
Children
This site is for people at work. It isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you’ve already given us, we’ll email you before it applies.
